Background

The mission was born from the need to streamline the manual, time-consuming, and human error-prone agent evaluation process (inconsistency in scores). The goal was to implement AI technology for automated and accurate evaluation. The main challenge was to simplify the complex Prompt Engineering, so that any form creator could write accurate prompts without prior knowledge, thus ensuring reliability, accuracy, and resource savings.

  • The problem: Creating accurate prompts for automated assessment is a complicated process that requires the knowledge and experience of professionals. Regular form creators are not AI people.

  • The challenge: How to design a conversational AI interface that will help the form writer accurately and formulate long, complex prompts in the background, using simple guiding questions, thus making the Prompt Engineering process accessible and easy to use for any user.

  • The key insight: writing a precise prompt is itself long and complex — not something everyone can do. So precise prompt engineering became a secondary goal. The real solution is a system that reads the user's needs through simple, conversational anchor questions, then writes and refines the prompt on their behalf.

Conducted deep research into AI tools on the market and their capabilities, and followed thought leaders to understand how prompts should be written — to characterize the need for an automated solution for evaluating agents, addressing the inefficiency and errors of the manual process.

Analyzed how skilled prompt writers actually work — their need for accuracy tracking, switching between versions, and comparing results against ground truth — through close conversations with Prompt Engineers, developers, and senior leadership responsible for the company's competitive position. Designed a conversational AI interface that simplifies writing complex prompts for inexperienced users.

Develop an Accuracy Mechanism

Analyzed advanced AI tools that help refine prompts, and mapped what users were actually trying to solve: something simple but accurate. Built a mechanism where a few simple anchor questions in a conversation let the system formulate the prompt and show the user its accuracy level.

This step is the core of UX innovation, simplifying the complex engineering of prompts:

  • Initial settings: The user selects the database on which the question will be based and defines relevant parameters for the LLM model.

  • Prompting in a chat format: The user enters their initial prompt using an interactive chat interface that simulates a conversation.

  • Automatic guidance and accuracy: The system acts as an intelligent “Prompt Assistant” – it uses experience and instructions given to it to present targeted questions that refine the prompt writing in the background, thus ensuring accurate and consistent assessment results without the need for expert knowledge.

Validation and Accuracy: The Result Test

After a series of targeted questions, a long and precise prompt is created in the background aimed at optimal assessment.

  • Results formulation: The created prompt is run on real data, and the precise and reliable results are formulated and presented to the user.

  • Comparison and version selection: The system allows the user to easily switch between several different versions of prompts (generated from different conversations or updates), to test them against the results and select the most precise version to be used for future automated assessment.

This step allows the user to gain full ownership and trust in the created prompt, before implementing it into the system.
